Dermal Fillers in Tacoma, WA

Dermal fillers offer an excellent solution to restoring age-related volume loss and enhancing your natural beauty. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat and collagen, leading to hollow cheeks, sagging skin, and the formation of wrinkles. Dermal fillers help counteract these signs of aging by reintroducing volume and fullness to the face. They can smooth out deep lines around the mouth and nose, plump up thin lips, enhance shallow contours, and even improve the appearance of recessed scars. These treatments provide immediate results, and their effects can last anywhere from several months to a year, or even longer in some cases. They’re a non-surgical, minimally invasive option that allows for personal customization, ensuring a natural, refreshed look that enhances your innate beauty. Additionally, most dermal fillers have the added benefit of stimulating the body’s own collagen production, promoting healthier, more youthful skin over time.

TREATMENT INFO

We are so excited to see you!

Here is information for you to prepare for your dermal filler appointment!
Any vaccinations should be scheduled 2 weeks prior to or 2 weeks after the dermal filler procedure.

If you develop a cold sore, blemish, rash, etc. prior to your appointment you must reschedule. Let us know if you are prone to cold sores - a pre-procedure medication may help prevent cold sores after treatment. We will prescribe this for you!
If you have a special event or vacation coming up, schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks in advance.

Patients should not travel in the 48 hours following a dermal filler treatment in case of complications. Plan appointments accordingly! Text us with questions or concerns 253-486-2066
Avoid taking Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids ideally 2 weeks before dermal filler treatment and 3 days following the procedure.

No dental procedures 48 hours before and two weeks after getting your filler! We want the filler to settle before any major manipulation of the face. If you are getting filler on your hands this does not apply.

Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 48 hours prior to treatment in order to prevent thinning of the blood, which will lead to an increase in bruising and swelling after your procedure.

Thank you for seeing us today!

Do not touch, massage, or manipulate the areas treated with dermal filler for at least 24-48 hours following the procedure.

For dermal filler in the lips, avoid straws, smoking, and excessive lip activity for the next 48 hours. You can cause migration of dermal filler if the areas are manipulated, which could lead to poor results.

Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or other essential fatty acids ideally for 47 hours following treatment. These medications/supplements will thin the blood and can cause more bleeding, bruising, and swelling.
Avoid makeup, lipstick and chapstick tubes for 24 hours. Use aquaphor on lips if needed.for dry, cracked lips. Use clean hands to apply this, do not touch anything directly to the lips to avoid causing infection.
Bruising and swelling is to be expected. You can ice the area gently and use arnica tablets if you are able to take them to reduce bruising.

Treatment

Most Dermal Fillers contain hyaluronic acid to promote elasticity moisture, strengthen skin structure, and smooth wrinkles and folds with no downtime. Dermal Fillers can add volume while creating a natural-looking lift for a younger-looking appearance. During the filler procedure, we administer an injection into the targeted area. Fillers have a moisturizing effect and can be combined with neurotoxins for optimum results. You may feel a pulling sensation for a few minutes, which is mild and tolerable. Your skin will get tighter, brighter, and plumper after the first treatment. The procedure is performed in 30-45 minutes. After reaching your desired aesthetic results we usually recommend once yearly maintenance appointments.
